I want my son vaccinated but on my own time. It's a free country right? Glad you and the others are good, smart individuals. If we had more conservatives and less liberals the United States would be a much better place!

Please consider allowing Religious Exemption in the state of MS. I believe as a parent, our personal choice and liberty when making decisions for our children should not be overridden by what is seen as a societal 'good'. Vaccines disrupt the immune system's response the way God intended. It has been proven that antibodies does not equal immunity, vaccinations does not equal immunization, and 'herd immunity' is only applicable to natural immunity (not vaccination)! The immune system is much more complex than what the antiquated science behind vaccination would have us believe. When PhD Immunologist, Dr Tetyana Obukhanych was asked, "If you were a betting person, where would you place your wager: on vaccines or on natural immunity?" She responded: "If its about making the human race unfit for survival, then I bet on vaccines." PLEASE, for the sake of the children, hear our voices!

I believe my 3 year old sons autism was vaccine induced as I watched him change before my eyes after receiving the MMR vaccine. He lost words, eye contact, started having horrible meltdowns among many other things and this hits home with me hard. The people of Mississippi should have a choice in what is put into our child's bodies. Let the people see this film!!

My husband is an assistant professor in the aerospace department at MSU. We moved to Mississippi so he could work in higher education, and yet we may have to leave Mississippi because our own children will not be allowed to attend school and receive an education. I know several families connected to the university who are in the same predicament. Mississippi's vaccine laws are driving away educated, informed and employed citizens. We are not anti-vaccine, but we support the parent's right to work with their pediatrician on the timeline and vaccine options that are right for their children.

Our children need someone to stand in the gap for them. Vaccines are not one size fits all.

I am not anti-vaccine, but this decision should NEVER be made by the government. We have the right as parents to make medical decisions for our children. We have the right to listen to our children's doctors and make an informed decision concerning our children's health. Forcing people to vaccinate for the greater good is a slippery slope...one that I'm not willing to go down.

First I would like to say that I am not Anti-Vaccine. I do believe that vaccinations do more good that bad for most people. However, I also believe that there are exceptions, and my son is was one of them. My son was 13 months old when he had his first of many seizures just days after receiving the MMR and Varicella vaccines. As a result, he did not walk until he was 19 months old and his speech and motor skills were severely affected. He just turned five years old and is currently on 2 medications to control his seizures. I am now faced with the decision to have him receive those same vaccinations a second time or homeschool him. He desperately needs speech, physical and occupational therapy. I cannot afford private therapy so we have to rely on the services offered by the public school system. After switching Pediatricians four times, I have finally found one who is TRYING to get my son exempt but there is no guarantee. I am begging and praying that you will support HB938 for my son and the many other children in Mississippi who have been injured from these vaccinations. WE are the parents. WE are the ones who have to watch our children suffer knowing that there's nothing we can do to help or take it away. WE should have the right to choose what is best for our children! Thank you.

As a parent of a special needs child who has a severe seizure disorder, this bill is very important to me. I watch my child suffer from seizures on a daily basis. He is nonverbal and very mentally and physically delayed. I am his voice. Please imagine yourself in my shoes for just a couple seconds. Please support this bill. Sincerely, Breanne Hartfield

HB 938 is not taking doctors out of the equation, we just want the child's attending doctor to be the one who is able to write an exemption, not the MSDOH who has never seen the child. For MS to be the most heavily vaccinated state, it is NOT the healthiest state for children, so something must be wrong with what we are doing. Please support 938.

My cousin was severely injured by the MMR vaccination. Her Mom recently shared with me that she wishes she knew what she knows now about the possible life changing side effects of vaccines. Her daughter was diagnosed with autism shortly after the MMR vaccination.

I don't think it is fair for legislators to blow off any and every comment made by people who have a different perspective but i feel that is how i have been treated. I thought vaccines were a wonderful thing until my child suffered a vaccine injury and now he cant get a permanent exemption...just these temporary ones that expire right after i get them as if he will just suddenly, magically be okay ever again. So heartbreaking. What if it was your kid? Your grandkid? Then you would care. You represent the people. ALL of your people, remember that when you decide your vote on things that affect all the people. My half vaxxed son and my no vax son play at the park and eat at restaurants and you're okay. ..your kids are okay. My kid isn't poisonous. My kid is very sick all the time now. ...but that's okay because somebody has to be a statistic, right? Not in my eyes. My very sad, very weary, very hopeful eyes. I'm praying you'll find time to ask God to lay the right choiceson your heart.

Please let it be a parent and physician choice/decision on wether or not to vaccinate their child! For a person who has seen adverse reactions due to these vaccinations and in large quantity I beg for the chance to make the most medically and safest choice for my child!
