No one knows a child better than a mother. If she feels that the vaccine caused the child harm then she should have the right to chose. If the child does get one more vaccine and it causes the child to have a serious reaction or even death what do you think she is going to feel like the cause was. Even if it's not a common side effect it doesn't mean that it don't happen. Each child should be treated individually. Not every one has text book reactions. Grown ups have reactions to meds that doctors find hard to believe but no one knows one better than yourself and mothers know how children tolerate things better than any textbook will ever be able to tell. Please consider this when considering if it's mandatory or not. No one will never fully understand until it happens close to home and then it will be too late.

Parents should have a choice in the Deion's when it comes to vaccinations.

Parents should have the right to decline if they wish to not have certain vaccines administered to their child. The reactions to some of the vaccines is worse than having the disease itself.

I have family members with Muscular Dystrophy that have been advised not to have vaccinations, but the schools and government say differently. I also know of many children who have been harmed by having vaccinations, so please think about this seriously. Thank you.

We have a right as parents to decide what we feel is right for our children. We as parents are allowed to choose what school and activities our child is involved in, what food or drink our child ingests, why not allow a parent the right to refuse so many vaccinations at one time. As a nurse, I agree that vaccinations have helped our population, but also as a nurse, I believe that babies/children are given way too many vaccinations at one time. I agree with vaccinating my child, but I also think I as a parent should have a right to request that the vaccination schedule be changed. As a member of the healthcare community, I can't help but ask how you expect a medical professional- MD- to distinguish what a child had a reaction to if we are giving so many vaccines at one time. You wouldn't want your child exposed to multiple allergens at one time and then never know what specific allergen caused the reaction. As a parent, it is our duty to protect our children. Wouldn't you do anything and everything possible to protect your child/children? Why is it that our children aren't being protected until it's too late and the harm has already been done? What's the reasoning behind so many doses at once? Is it because our pediatricians are too busy and don't want to be bothered with a spaced out vaccination schedule? Is it for government population control? Our children are our future and we are called by God to protect them. We as their parents are their voice.

Mississippi has the highest vaccination rate because of strict mandates and the highest infant mortality rate. This is not just coincidence. When there is a risk for injury, there must be a choice. The state has no place deciding which medical choices families make. This is America not Nazi Germany!

I firmly believe that everyone has the right to choose what is right for themselves, their children and their families. I am a one issue voter until this is rectified. The State's current position is a one size fits all mentality that leaves injured children in it's wake.

I have a problem with these vaccinations being mandated in order for our kids to go to public or private school and daycare. I believe we should have the rights to our own bodies and our children. These vaccinations are destroying the health of our youth. They are way too many too soon in our state. We are the sickest state in the U.S. Other states have the choice to vaccinate or not to vaccinate. This should be left up to the parent as they know their child better than the government or the state department of health. Please help us get this bill passed so we can have our health rights back.

My son recently suffered from a vaccination he received after his first birthday. I was only doing what I thought was right for him and knew he had to have these vaccinations for school. After watching him suffer in pain, it made me look more into our mandated vaccine schedule that has tripled since the 80's. If there are so many side affects, shouldn't I have the right to choose what if my child should have these vaccinations? How could I possibly comply and allow my child have more vaccinations in order to go to public school in our state? This doesn't make any sense. We need health freedom. Please hear us and change this law. I beg you to open your heart and see how all these vaccinations are ruining the health of our youth. We need a choice.

Thank you for being considerate of parents and their rights to make decisions about what is injected in their children's little bodies. I want to decide for myself what is best for the children God gave me to care for and protect. As of right now, I have no options but to do as I'm told or homeschool. Please help loosen these strict laws and put our children's health and safety back into the hands of their parents.

My baby suffered from the MMR vaccine. We need a choice in our state concerning what is going into our kid's bodies. Every single child is different. Some, like my precious Kipton simply can not tolerate these vaccinations. Please hear our voices. This one size fits all approach is not working for our children.
