While I am pro-vaccine, I believe parents deserve the right to choose the vaccination scedule for their child.
1036. Marie Holman from Winston, MS signed this petition on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
I believe we should have the right to make our own choices about how to raise our children, including whether or not to vaccinate our children, and which vaccines to give them. This is NOT the responsibility of the government.
1035. Steven Holman from Winston, MS signed this petition on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
Please support the freedom to choose which vaccines, if any, are given to our children. Thank you for taking the time to look into an important liberty that is at stake.

I deserve the right to be able to say no to something being injected into my child. If vaccine=protection, then I'm the one who should be worried, right? When is the last time YOU had a booster shot? Herd immunity doesn't exist. Vaccines do not give lifelong immunity, how many unvaccinated adults are walking around the US today?! The only "vaccinated" people in this country are our elementary ages school children. I'm not saying vaccines cause autism, but give me proof that they don't. Autism is a listed as a possible adverse side effect in SEVERAL vaccine inserts. It's quite simple. Who stands to gain from vaccines? Is someone making money? Follow the money and tell me there isn't someone benefitting from a vaccine schedule that has nearly tripled in the last 20 years. Show me a study with control groups of vaxxed vs unvaxxed children. You can't, because one does not exist. People thought cigarettes were healthy and drinking alcohol was fine while pregnant. Unfortunately in this case we are testing these "theories" on the innocent. Our babies have the highest rates of autoimmune disorders this world has ever seen. Ask yourselves what has changed in the last 20 years. Diet and vaccine schedules. Be brave enough to question. Be brave enough to ask yourself if maybe there could be truth to the other side.
1032. Hugh Davis from Lauderdale, MS signed this petition on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
It's a proven fact that the vaccines they use are years out of date. Ivory tower politicians don't have the right to force us to inject "God knows what" into our kids. Parents know what's best for their children, not politicians!
1031. Matthew Calder from Oktibbeha, MS signed this petition on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
I truly believe that all parents should have the right to choose vaccines or not for their children. For me this is not a matter of autism. We should have the choice of what goes in our children's bodies. Please support this cause. Thank you.

Almost every other state in the US has the right to opt out of vaccines, except for us. Parents deserve the right to choose what goes into their child's bodies. It's our family, our children, our health, our choice.
1026. Dustin Fair from Pike, MS signed this petition on Monday, January 26, 2015.
We should have a choice in what we are putting in our bodies! We should not have to put aborted babies into us especially when I'm a Christian and am against abortion.
1025. Mary Fair from Pike, MS signed this petition on Monday, January 26, 2015.
As a Christian, I don't feel I should have to allow myself or my two children to put aborted fetus cells into our bodies. We should have a choice!

I am pro vaccine but I feel like every person should have the right to choose what is best for their child. I also believe I should be able to delay vaccines and my child still be allowed in daycare if that makes me feel more comfortable.

My third child developed a milk allergy after receiving his DTaP vaccine when he was 2. I wasn't suspicious of the connection until he had a bad reaction to a vaccine when he was 12. I researched components of vaccines on cdc.gov & found that milk is used as a solvent for the DTaP & other vaccines & some batches of vaccines can contain a large amount of the solvents. I believe he could have had one of these which confused his immune system & caused his milk allergy. He is still required to have the meningitis vaccine with milk solvents despite the danger of a possible allergic reaction. The only option now in order for him to attend school is to receive the vaccine using a protocol which they inject 10 percent at a time in case his contains milk solvents and have an epi-pen ready to save his life. I don't think any parent or child should be put through this terrifying situation. I think he should have the option to be exempt in MS because of the risk to his health. Also through my research I learned that components WI-38 & MRC-5 of the required MMR & Varivax vaccines are derived from aborted fetuses which goes against my Catholic faith. Please help give parents the right to choose what is best for their child in MS like parents in most other states. Thanks for your consideration.

Please support this bill. It will allow Mississippi parents the ability to set their own vaccination schedules, not avoid them. The current vaccination schedule is for the convenience of the doctor, and not backed by science. Mississippi currently has the highest vaccine compliance in the country and the highest infant mortality rate.

I know several children that have become Autistic after the 3 in 1 shots. Prior to that particular shot they where alert and full of life. It wasn't long after that they were no longer responsive. My granddaughter is severely Autistic and will need 24 hours of care. I feel that parents should have a choice. I am not saying to not get any shots but to allow us if we feel to get the shots after the child gets a little older. I hope the Choice will go thru. Thank you.

It has taken us four years to find a physician who would actually sign our waver for vaccines so our children can attend school... Private school. They have a genetic skin disorder and although medically it makes perfect sense to avoid vaccines, most doctors don't want to be labeled 'a doctor who signs wavers' for fear of the medical communities disapproval. We have to drive hours away to find someone who will sign their wavers and we have to go back every year. This system does not work.

I think that since parents get a choice in other medical matters concerning their children, that they should have a say in the amount of, time administered, and which immunizations they choose for their own children. While I personally am not anti- vaccine, some vaccines such as Gardasil and flu vaccinations should remain elective.

I think parents should have the right to be able to spread the shots over a period of time and not be forced to make their child get a bunch of shots at the same time and not know which shots would cause their child to have an allergic reaction yes the child need to be vaccinated but not all at once

As a grandparent to 7 grandchildren, I trust that my children a Can make an informed decision when it Come to vaccinating their own children. My daughter wanted to delay shots for her 2 year old and was told that couldn't be done and not to come back. Since when did doctors start to "fire" children from healthcare? This has to stop!!

I hope this bill passes, we the parents know what is best for our families and should have that right just as the other 48 states. Mississippi is my home and I love it here but If this Bill is not passed we will be moving out of state. I want the right to have a say in my child's health care. I want my sons to be able to attend school with or without vaccines if necessary. I want to be able to chose. We as parents deserve to know everything there is out there on vaccines as we would on prescription medications. We shouldn't have to fight so hard for a medical exemption that a Dr may seem fit they need but the health department won't accept.

While I am not anti-vaccine, I do believe that parents should have the right to make the decisions concerning their child's health care, not the government. I have the right to decide if my child will take an antibiotic for their illness, I should have the same right to decide if I feel vaccines are the right choice for my child or not. The way MS's laws are now, I can't even decide to spread the vaccines out, rather than giving my child multiple vaccines together at one time if I want to send my child to daycare or school. Instead, I am being forced to stay out of the work force and homeschool my child due to our outdated laws, and have even considered moving to a different state so my child can have the same opportunities as other children.
